Pleased to meet you, I’m Lynn – the one behind the camera!
I was born and raised just outside of Kelowna, in British Columbia, Canada. I’ve been interested in photography since I was about 10 years old, and began my ‘career’ at 13 with the acquisition of a SLR camera (a classic Pentax K1000). Most of my early work was landscape and macro photography, including the hummingbird used in my logo. During high school I contributed to year book production and had small commissions for ‘student of the month’ portraits. In my twenties I caught the travel bug and did a lot of photography abroad, a pastime I intend to maintain! |

I began custom portrait photography with families and weddings in 2004 in Calgary, AB. I love to get out on location and capture the atmosphere and feelings that emerge through each unique setting. I use natural light almost exclusively. My focus is on the candid moments and intimate details that will evoke memories and emotions for decades to come.
I am now based in breathtaking Victoria, BC; and I frequently travel within the province and beyond! |

Those who know me know that I 'wear a lot of hats'. Variety is truly the spice of life, and I am happiest when I have a number of outlets for my frequent bursts of inspiration. When I'm not following my camera around I am working toward my Masters degree in psychology, working with people with mental illness, and volunteering with horseback riding for the disabled. I like to volunteer my photography services as well, including shooting charity events and donating the occasional portrait session to silent auction fundraisers. |
